Bespoke IT consultancy.
We add more than we spend.
USN engineers work for a very diverse range of companies, such as those in aerospace, banking, or oil and gas. Naturally, deploying an engineer costs money, but we add more value for every client than we cost. This can be because an engineer reviews a quote and reports back that the proposed hardware combination of servers and storage systems will not work. In this example, the organisation concerned was able to prevent a loss of 1.2 million euros by sending the supplier back to the drawing board. Our engineers avoid these kinds of missteps and are capable of devising and implementing smart solutions; no-nonsense, robust, and functional.
Dedicated engineers: deployed nationally and internationally.
We've been working with a major Dutch bank for many years, over 20 years in fact. When this client's payment environment experiences a failure, it costs a lot of money and damages their brand name. The bank deployed three USN engineers at the last minute, and the problem was quickly resolved. A team leader dryly remarked: “I didn't need the other 57 IT staff in my department. The USN engineers are the only ones I need.”
USN engineers manage one of the most complex IT environments in the world for a major oil company, allowing scientists to process vast amounts of seismic data. Complex, large, and with great responsibility. And most importantly, really cool.
For a well-known Dutch university, we are stabilising the infrastructure on all servers through automation. What was done manually for years and was therefore prone to errors is thus reaching a higher level of maturity.
At an aerospace company, USN engineers have been safeguarding complex scientific systems for 30 years. The software that will soon be sent into space via satellites is written and tested on these systems. Each launch is an exciting moment, and for decades to come, we can proudly mention this at birthdays and parties.
